DUNGEON NOTES:
1. Make sure your caps lock key is on or the game will not understand your input.
2. Since I am a novice programmer, I am unfamiliar with saving and retrieving data
from disk (I know how to load and save programs, but not data). Becasue of this,
the options to load/save character from disk are not yet functional.
3. There are two secrets in the game, and they involve using commands not listed in
the help screen. The first secret is pretty easy to find. If you are thorough,
you will find directions on how to execute it in the dungeon. The second secret
involves your character having done certain things and being in a certain part of
the dungeon. If you really get stuck (and you actually play this game long enough
to want the answer), just write to me (Anthony Dunleavy) on Compu-Data, and I will
tell you how to find the secrets.
4. To end the game, just type QUIT GAME at the prompt.
5. I am now working on a second and more detailed text game. Any input would be
appreciated. Tell me what you did and didn't like about Dungeon. Just write to me:
Anthony Dunleavy (I am on Compu-Data 3 to 4 times a week).
6. I included the icon for Dungeon (for Windows)(DUNEGON.ICO), so if you want to place the game
into windows, the icon is ready. The game itself is written in Qbasic, so be sure to
associate .bas files to Qbasic if you put the icon in Windows. (If you don't know how,
just write me and I will explain).
7. If you do decide to run Dungeon in Windows, run it at full screen. For some reason,
colors conflict with windows when you decrease the game to a window, and the text
in the game is sometimes unreadable.
8. Any questions, comments, complaints, etc? Just write to me on Compu-Data
Anthony Dunleavy
